Title: Canon Selphy CP740 (3 mice)
Pros: Dye-sub printing produces continuous tones and colors; includes retractable USB cable.
Cons: Paper type for 4-by-6-inch prints limited to Canon postcards; lacks advanced image-editing features; dark prints appear flat; less intuitive operation than comparable printers.
Verdict: Though the CP740 is advertised as a compact photo printer, the only 4-by-6-inch photo paper that Canon sells for it is postcard paper. Therefore, the back of each photo you print will have lines to write on and a box to place a stamp. I found this frustra
Summary: The Selphy CP740 prints decent 4-by-6 inch photos, but overall its irksome limitations outweigh its benefits.

Title: Canon PIXMA iX4000
Pros: Excellent photo print quality, good text and speedy output
Cons: Slow set up, similar driver issues to sibling, iX4000, during set up
Verdict: At the £329 price point and speedy output times, it's good value for money even if it is big sat on the desk.
Summary: - The Canon PIXMA iX5000 is am A3+ thermal inkjet printer designed to provide a cost effective and speedy printer for the small office or home office. Like the iX4000 before it, it has 4800x1200dpi printing with 2-picolitre (two billionth's of litre) drop

Title: Canon PIXMA iP4500
Pros: Fast for the price, Duplex printer, Crisp text, Great photos
Cons: No LCD or card slots, Watch those ink costs
Verdict: An inexpensive quality printer that clearly outperforms its many low-budget peers
Summary: Manufacturers appear to be falling over themselves to offer printers as cheap as chips these days. Feature-light budget printers are everywhere to be found, like the Epson D92, which costs just £30 but still arrives with £25 of free ink, or Canon's own iP

Title: Pixma iX5000
Pros: Fast print speeds, Relatively low cost, Pictbridge support
Cons: Ugly design, Not quite top-rated photo quality, Small ink cartridges
Verdict: A good, basic, no-frills A3+ printer at a believable price offering speedy output and good results. If the spec fits and speed isn't an issue, we'd probably choose the iX4000 instead, because it offers most of the performance of the iX5000 for quite a bit
Summary: An advanced A3+ colour printer offering high speed and high quality at a good price? We find out if Canon can

Title: Canon Pixma Pro9000
Pros: Excellent color and black-and-white prints; fast printing; accepts paper sizes up to 13x19 inches; can clean nozzles for subset of colors.
Cons: Dye prints don't last as long as those made with pigment inks; large footprint; no card reader.
Summary: If you don't mind the shorter display life of dye-based prints or the paper choices offered by Canon, the Pixma Pro9000 makes an excellent choice for a medium-format inkjet printer.
