Title: Philips ShoqBox PSS110 Personal Surround System
Pros: Simple menu navigation; plays DRM-protected WMA files; FM tuner; alarm clock; can use as external speakers for other devices.
Cons: Painfully slow USB 1.1 transfer times; mediocre audio quality; no line-in recording; can't manually scan through FM radio; no expansion slot; puny 256MB of storage.
Verdict: Slow performance, a relative lack of storage, and uninspiring audio quality mar an otherwise clever idea.

Title: Philips PSS110
Verdict: The Philips PSS110, with its decent display and FM radio tuner, would make a good alarm clock. It's simple to use - although we'd prefer it to use the drag-and-drop principle rather than the limited Musicmatch Jukebox software - and thoughtfully designed.
Summary: The PSS110 is optimistically described as a portable MP3 player and the PSS part of its name stands for 'personal sound system', but this is not pocket-sized by any stretch of the imagination. An iPod killer it ain't.

Title: Philips ShoqBox (PSS110) MP3 player
Pros: Speakers included
Cons: Only 256Mb, Only PC, only works with MusicMatch
Verdict: The idea is good, but the execution doesn't live up to the promise.
Summary: - You like your MP3 player and no doubt the music on it. Trouble is, chances are, unless you've already gone out and bought a bolt-on speaker system, when it comes to sharing the music you can't.
