Reviews of Graphic Design

digitalartsonline.co.uk Title: Aperture 2

Pros: Much faster; more adjustment tools; excellent Raw conversion; better redesigned interface; great integration with iLife; massive price cut.

Cons: Still not compatible with older Macs and older OSX versions; no Windows version.

Verdict: There are a myriad other small improvements - too numerous to list - which make this application much more pleasurable to use. Also, as the price has reduced so sharply there's no financial reason not to upgrade

Summary: Apple had its work cut out to fix the shortcomings in its photo editing tool, and the result is Aperture 2. Aside from a vastly redesigned interface, browsing through its library is now fast...

macformat.co.uk Title: Apple iLife '08

Pros: Much better management with Events, iMovie '08 is very quick and easy to use, .Mac Web Gallery integration

Cons: No video effects in iMovie '08 any more, Can't open iMovie HD 6 files, .Mac required to get full benefit

Verdict: iLife '08 stands as an excellent suite of digital tools, with some nifty improvements for iMovie and iPhoto in particular

Summary: Just in case you were wondering, you haven't accidentally slept through iLife '07. Apple has decided that since 2007 is closer to its end than its start, it would skip ahead to iLife '08. With so much development time going into Leopard, the iPhone and iP

cnet.com.au Title: Apple Aperture Review - Imaging Software

Pros: Excellent sorting and organising tools, Very fast on the right hardware, Smooth work flow from one task to another, Attractive interface

Cons: Requires high-end system for optimal results, Closed architecture, All images stored in single, monolithic library, Subpar interaction with other applications

Summary: This imaging work-flow application isn't the Holy Grail many hoped it would be, but Apple Aperture could make life easier for photographers who need to sort through large numbers of photographs quickly and efficiently.
