Verdict: I have keep my Nano permanently in a skin because of its tendency to get scratched. In this case my 'old' iPod mini dock works better as it has sufficient space to allow my Nano to dock with its skin on

Pros: Adds considerably over 20 hours of additional iPod shuffle battery life, powers (but doesn't recharge) a battery-drained shuffle, reasonable price and good design
Cons: Lanyard isn't detachable, and as some will prefer not to wear this on the neck, bunching up the necklace or cutting it off will be necessary
Verdict: So just to make sure I understand this, when the batteries run out, you just keep replacing them with new ones until you can get to a computer? Just want to check. Just bought a Shuffle and want to take it to Europe for several weeks in the fall
