Acer X1160 SVGA DLP Projector is a portable projector. A good choice if you intend to keep the projector in one place most of the time and occasionally need to take it off-site. Digital Light Processing (DLP) Technology is generally regarded as the better choice for video display as opposed to LCD Technology. DLP produces smoother images for video as well as being able to achieve very high contrast ratios providing greater depth to the image. LCD provides more pixellated images but delivers more intense colours. SVGA is the projectors native resolution. The projected image is made up of 800 x 600 pixels. 2000 lumens is extremely bright projector and a good choice for applications where the user is unable to control the ambient light in the room. This is a high contrast ratio (2000:1) projector. Images produced will have good depth and clarity, particularly in low ambient light conditions. High contrast ratios are especially preferable for displaying video presentations. Acer X1160 SVGA DLP Projector uses a very bright light to project the image, and most modern ones can correct (Keystone correction) any curves, blurriness, and other inconsistencies through manual settings. This is a quiet projector. The fan noise (33dB) is audible when you stand close to the projector but is not distracting to the presentation.
